Ratings
Companies become members through research and recommendation or when they make an application. In order to ensure professionalism and high standards of practice a membership rating service is maintained.
Once a transaction has been made between members the contractor is encouraged to rate the service or provider. Ratings are based on the following criteria:
- Quality of service
- Communication skills
- Value for money
- Invitation to convey impression of service provider (voluntary)
Each category receives a mark out of 3 and an average of this is used to calculate the final rating. Members can also add a free text comment if they wish.
The rating system is completely voluntary and totally transparent. Members can view their own and each other’s rating as well as the details of the person who wrote it. Members also have the right to appeal against ratings and comments that they believe to be untrue or unfair and the BABPN management team are available to arbitrate if necessary. BABPN reserves the right to remove any rating that they deem defamatory or untrue.
